Transaction IDs

Transaction IDs serve as unique identifiers for transactions on Irys. Upon uploading data through a bundler, you obtain a receipt containing the transaction ID, which functions as a reference for data retrieval and verification.

Encoding

Transaction IDs use base58 encoding.

Note

Base58 represents a binary-to-text encoding method used in Bitcoin and Solana. It employs 58 characters, excluding 0, O, I, and l to prevent confusion between visually similar characters and numbers.

Downloading Data with Transaction IDs

To retrieve data from the Irys gateway, use the transaction ID in this URL format:
